Conjuction of Mars-Saturn and Mercury-Jupiter

Mars-Saturn: Miserable, quarrelsome, condemnable, a betrayer, clever in talking, versed in the use of weapons, follower of a faith other than his own, has danger from poison or injury.

Note:

1. According to the Saravali:

(a) Lagna : Winner in battle, hostile to mother, short-lived.

(b) Fourth house: Bereft of home comforts, given up by near and dear ones, a sinner.

(c) Seventh house: Devoid of comforts from wife and children, ailing, indulges in sinful deeds.

(d) Tenth house: Earns from the ruler, suffers punishment (for a crime).

(e) Ninth house: Sinful, characterless, addicted to other people's wives, devoid of wealth and comforts.

2. Mars and Saturn are both natural malefics. Their conjunction is considered bad. However, their influence on the tenth house might indicate a technical profession or on the fifth house a technical/scientific education.

Mercury-Jupiter:

Eloquent, learned, amiable, handsome, wealthy, well-versed in dance, song and music, very virtuous, and fond of perfumes.

Note:

1. According to the Saravali:

(a) Lagna: Very handsome, learned, honoured by the ruler, blessed with pleasures and vehicles.

(b) Fourth house: Blessed with friends, comforts, wife and wealth, honoured by the ruler.

(c) Seventh house: Excels his father, very strong, dominates his opponents, blessed with wife, wealth and friends.

(d) Tenth house: A minister or a king, distinguished, amiable, a scholar.

(e) Ninth house: Versed in scriptures, learned, wealthy, sweet- tongued, adept in fine arts.

2. Mercury-Jupiter combination is an intellectual combination. It need not necessarily be good for wealth. Influencing the lagna or the fifth house, it is a combination for learning astrology.
