How it looks—It is a graceful, tall perennial grass with stems of varying thickness and colour - ranging from light to dark green.

How we use it—
In
jaundice—Sugarcane juice is given in plenty to one suffering from jaundice, to promote urination and flush out toxins. You could combine it with lime juice to hasten recovery.
In
excessive bleeding from any orifice—Cane juice is considered haematinic and thereby arrests bleeding when consumed from time to time.
In
anaemia—Supplement a nutritious diet with cane juice for the same reason as above, to improve the blood picture in anaemia.
In
erysipelas—Slightly heat the juice and sprinkle it on the affected skin to soothe eruptions and hasten healing.
In
dysuria—The juice of cane being the best among diuretics, it is ideal to consume it thrice a day in any urinary problems including calculi, burning sensation in urine and pain
during urination.
To
promote flow of breastmilk—Being an effective galactogogue it clears the ducts of the mammary gland and promotes secretion of milk.
Modern Study- Sugarcane was clinically tested and found to be highly effective in the treatment of urinary tract infections.
