The Kurma Purana illustrates the importance of the colours. The wrong energy flow in houses and buildings can be corrected by using complementary colours thus :
When a bedroom in south-east is used by teenagers or adults, they become irritable. If the room is coloured blue the problem gets compounded. By using yellow colour on the walls,
it is seen that the ill-effects of the south-east completely disappears and the room becomes cheerful.
Rooms in the south are to be painted white without any colour to energise them. Green colour here produces illness and blue colour makes the person dull.
It is seen in houses where kitchen is placed in the south¬west, the health of the family members, especially the ladies is adversely affected. By using orange colour for walls
and tiles, the effect gets completely eliminated.
The master bedroom in the north-west corner should be painted blue to stabilize the energy field there and to avoid disturbance in sleep.
In case of west rooms used for wrong purposes, pink colour stimulates the area.
The rooms in the east should have light green colour on the walls.
The north-east should be painted off-white.
The light shade of any colour is always good to be painted.
The window and door curtains should be of same colour as the walls.
In case you have projections in a room in wrong corner, paint the room in the above said colours and only the projected area should be painted white. This eliminates the effect
of a wrong projection.
Thus, in case your house does not conform to Vaastu, before considering shifting go for colour change and see the effect.
