Vastu Guidelines for Storing Finished Goods in a Factory
Directions for Storing Finished Goods
In a factory, the storage of finished goods plays a vital role in inventory management, safety, and business growth. According to Vastu Shastra, the proper placement of storage areas ensures positive energy, financial stability, and operational efficiency. Improper storage can lead to loss of goods, financial stress, delayed shipments, and disruption in workflow.
Each day many letters are being regularly received, seeking advice as to where and on which place fully packed goods should be kept (stored). Fully packed goods and finished goods for dispatch to outstation should always be kept in north- west so that goods are sold quickly. Transproting finished vas, means for or fully packed goods, should be parked in east or north direction.
Ideal Directions for Storing Finished Goods
1. South-West (SW) Zone – Ideal Storage Area
The South-West corner of the factory is considered the most suitable for storing finished goods.
This direction symbolizes stability, strength, and security, ensuring that goods remain safe and well-preserved.
Heavy items or bulk storage should always be placed in this zone.
2. South or West Zones – Secondary Storage Areas
South or West directions can be used for additional storage or seasonal goods.
Ensure that heavy racks or shelves are aligned with the South or West walls for support and balance.
3. North-East (NE) Zone – Avoid Storing Heavy Goods
North-East is considered a light and positive zone; it is ideal for prayer, office, or light equipment, not heavy finished goods.
Storing heavy items here can lead to energy imbalance, financial losses, and operational disruption.
Design & Layout Tips
Arrange goods in proper racks or shelves, keeping heavier items at the bottom and lighter items on top.
Maintain clear pathways for easy movement of staff and forklifts.
Ensure ventilation, dryness, and sunlight control to prevent damage or spoilage of goods.
Avoid placing storage racks directly under beams or sloping roofs, as it may block positive energy.
Doors of the storage area should preferably open towards North or East for smooth energy flow.
Security & Energy Considerations
Keep the storage area locked and organized to prevent theft or accidental damage.
Placing a small Shree Yantra or sacred symbol in the storage room enhances positive energy and protection of assets.
Avoid cluttering goods near entrances or pathways, as it obstructs workflow and energy circulation.

Various impediments on main gate of a factory
There should be no electric or telephone post in front of main gate of a factory or building. There should be no tree, rock, post (piller) or any other impediments in front of shop or house. It is highly ominous and the house/ factory owner’s efforts do not yield desired results.Do not install/ commission heavy machinery in south- west direction
The above picture pertains to a sick unit of JODHPUR where production was I doldrums. On the request of the industrialist I went to see the factory. When I reached there, I observed wrong direction of the machines. I got diverted direction of all the machines in south- west direction (as indicated through an arrow mark (-> on the picture), and fortified southern wall, these steps helped to run the factory into a profit- yielding unit).Never extend north- west corner of a factory/ building
If north- west corner (vaayavya) of a house is extended, then the house owner will be subjected to innumerable expenditure ad discomforts, and there will be o rest in the house. Simi9larly, he has to toil very hard in order to establish production industry (unit).Ideal Directions for Storing Finished Goods
